Pad Maintenance and Repair

Superior technology and design by utilizing materials that work in combination with Proper care and maintenance will give you years of trouble-free use of your Impact Shoulder Pads. Just like all football equipment, weekly inspection and preventative maintenance steps should be routine.

Since the Impact Shoulder Pad is made of plastic, and all plastic cracks over time, we recommend that you visually inspect the plastic shell on a weekly basis. Report any evidence of cracking to us so repairs can be made in a timely manner. While inspecting plastic, check rivets for wear.

The odds are greater that the plastic will crack before a rivet will break, but it is recommended that they be checked as a precautionary measure during your inspection.

If you have Impact's Big Hit Rivet Kit you will be able to make any repair or modification in your own equipment room without sending the pad to us. We'll send you the plastic part! The Impact body is like no other shoulder pad on the market, as it can be easily removed, machine washed, and dry in time for the next use.

Simply remove the foam body pads, place them in the player's mesh bag, and wash in cold water. Although you can machine dry your pads, we highly recommend that you place the padding back into the plastic shell and let it air-dry. With proper ventilation in your locker room, the Impact pad will dry completely overnight.

If you choose to machine dry, use low or no heat!
